OUR MISSION
ASSOCIATION is a student-designed and student-edited publication that showcases the work of students, faculty, staff, and alumni across Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art, and Planning.
Published semi-annually, each volume is guided by a unique editorial framework that brings projects into conversation with one another. Through thoughtful curation, sequencing, and design, ASSOCIATION reveals unexpected relationships across architecture, art, and planning, encouraging readers to discover new perspectives on the work.
More than an anthology, ASSOCIATION is both a record of Cornell AAP's creative culture and a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue. By documenting the ideas, experiments, and conversations that shape the college, the journal preserves the work of one generation while inspiring the next.

OUR STORY
ASSOCIATION was founded in 2005 following conversations between students and Mohsen Mostafavi, then Dean of Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art, and Planning, about fostering stronger connections across the college's three departments. While Architecture, Art, and Planning each maintained distinct identities, there was a shared desire for a platform that could bring their work into conversation.
Conceived by graduate student Glenn Nowak, ASSOCIATION was established to bring together the work of students, faculty, staff, and alumni into a single volume. Since then, the publication has documented the evolving creative output of the AAP community while continuing to foster dialogue and connections across disciplines.
